In my opinion, he does the right thing here, attempting to stay aggressive in that situation with a moderately risky shot down the line. Alcaraz simply hits an incredible passing winner—not much you can do there. However, in the two points before, he increased the risk significantly after an error, which, as we have seen, isn’t statistically the wisest choice, and all of the last three points turned out to be errors. As mentioned, this is all understandable, given the battle he had gone through
