This isn’t about me, but about a medical resident I met recently during my rotation. He was honestly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met — extremely intelligent, hardworking, and incredibly humble. He was training to become a trauma surgeon, fully dedicated to his career and his future. He had been married for two years. After finishing a brutal 30-hour shift, he was finally heading home early. It was a special day — the anniversary of when they first met. He decided to surprise his wife. He
