Five seconds passed. Ten seconds. Then suddenly— BANG! A loud hit against the door. David jumped up. His heart was racing now. “That’s not normal…” He slowly got out of bed. Step by step… he moved toward the door. The floor creaked beneath him. Everything felt… wrong. He reached for the handle. But before touching it… A voice came from the other side. Soft. Whispering. “David…” He froze. No one should know his name. Not at this hour. Not outside his room. “Open the door…”
