I land with a soft rustle, audible above the deep murmur of the river flowing from left to right. I tilt my head slightly to the left, and suddenly all the water stops, frozen in timeless silence. In the still silver-blue reflection, I watch my wings slowly fold back against my sides. I give my dancing willows high-fives and smile as I sit down beside my elephant on the riverbank. My little bee hums happily closer and settles on my shoulder. I turn my head to the right, and our river of time com
