In 2022, the organizing committee for the Winter Olympic Games at Beijing National Stadium—widely known as the Bird’s Nest—encountered a serious operational problem just as several major Olympic events were about to begin. The stadium was expected to handle more than 90,000 spectators per day, along with around 10,800 athletes, 5,900 event staff, and nearly 7,000 media personnel from different countries.
