I got a call from a No Caller ID at 3AM.
I ignored it.
It called again.
And again.
On the fourth time, I answered.
No one spoke.
Just breathing.
Slow.
Heavy breathing.
Then the voice said,
“Look outside.”
My heart started racing.
I live on the second floor.
There was no reason for anyone to be outside my window.
But I walked over anyway.
And that’s when my phone buzzed again.
Another message.
It said,
“Too late.”
