Closing: What These Metrics Mean for Our Practice Having data like this — having the numbers that FPU and UNAM have now produced — gives us something we didn't have before: a framework for understanding the right moments, formats, and conditions for learning and for skill-building. It helps us know when a journalist is ready to absorb new practices, and when what they need first is safety, containment, and care. These findings don't just describe a crisis. They tell us how to respond to it mo
