Arthur went to sleep in his apartment. He woke up somewhere else. No warning. No explanation. Just a different world. The air felt heavy. Dense. Like it had weight. Back home, that feeling meant one thing — environments that kill people who aren't prepared. Arthur had spent years walking into places like that. He stood up. Checked his body. Nothing broken. Then he did what he always did when he woke up somewhere new. He got very still. And he started watching.
