So far we’ve looked at the goal of Net Zero and how to generate clean power with solar, wind and other renewables. But there’s a major real-world challenge that almost every farm faces: variability. British weather is famously unpredictable. The sun doesn’t always shine brightly when your milking parlour is running at full load at 6 am. And the wind doesn’t always blow strongly when your grain dryer is working flat out during harvest, or when you need to run crop cooling systems on a warm aftern
