CHAPTER 4 What the School Family Meant to Me Let's begin with my "school mother." She has always meant and will always mean so much to me. I could always go to her with my problems, and I will always remember that I could simply be there, and she would always listen. To be honest, some days I’d feel very sorrowful and I'd go to her with my sorrow I felt like a burden. It felt as though I was abusing God's grace, and yet I could feel God's love through the way she cared for me, just like my real
