staring at my door. Then my closet… creaked. Slowly. I whispered, “Hello?” No answer. Another text: “Don’t make noise.” Now I was shaking. I grabbed my phone tighter and started backing toward the door. Then My phone started ringing. Same number. I hesitated… and answered. A whisper came through: “I’m inside your closet.”
