I want to start with a number that defines our school: 47%. At Riverwatch Middle School, we serve 1,359 students, and nearly 634 of them are identified as gifted learners. This isn't just a statistic; it’s a mandate for us to provide a specialized level of challenge. In my 8th-grade Spanish classroom, this reality is even more distinct. 43% of my students are gifted, and a staggering 95% are already bilingual, speaking languages like Hindi, Mandarin, Korean, Russian and other languages as you se
