Stress is mobile and not marked in writing, so the synthesizer must learn lexical stress placement from data, a frequent source of errors. The distinctive Ukrainian "г" is a voiced glottal fricative rather than a hard /g/, and rendering it correctly is one of the clearest markers that a voice is genuinely Ukrainian and not a Russian-accented substitute.
