After nearly an hour of careful navigation, we arrived at a small clearing where the ground fell away sharply to reveal a crystalline lagoon. The water glimmered as if infused with molten gold, reflecting the sky in an impossible palette of blues and greens. And there, on the far bank, half-buried in sand and vine, lay the first of Blackfin’s markers—a weathered chest, its lock rusted, but intact.
