Chapter 4 SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO DO The next morning, Ellie woke up early, even though it wasn't a school day. For a moment, she lay there, warm and cosy in her bed, thinking she ought to get up. Wasn't there something important she had to do today? There was the lamb to look after, but Mum would be doing that now. She and Jay had set the alarm and got up every two hours through the night to feed it. Ellie was tired now and wanted to go back to sleep, but something else was niggling at her.
