Then, in September of 1985, the terror spilled beyond the borders of Italy. A French couple, camping under the stars near San Casciano, were ambushed and murdered. Their deaths were coldly executed, as if they were nothing more than pawns in a twisted game. But even then, the nightmare didn’t end. Days
