Voices shifted in the distance.

Then lowered his head.
Steadying his breathing.
Calm.
Controlled.
He looked down at himself.
Uniform on.
Now he didn’t look like an outsider.
He looked like part of them.
The camp was ahead.
Close enough now that he could see structures through the trees.
Lights.
Movement.
Supplies.
