Pāhonoa te oro

De Brazza’s monkeys are known for their extremely shy and secretive behaviour. Instead of fleeing noisily when threatened, they often freeze and remain motionless, relying on their camouflage to avoid detection. This behavior makes them one of the more difficult primates to observe in the wild.
