When you prefire common positions like doorways, head-glitches, or behind cover, you remove the delay between seeing the enemy and shooting. It also helps negate ping difference. If your opponent has lower ping than you, they might see you first. Prefiring reduces that advantage because bullets are already coming out the moment you appear
