Pāhonoa te oro

Cytosolic proteins (from infected or tumor cells) are degraded by proteasomes, transported into the ER via TAP, and loaded onto class I MHC. These complexes are displayed on the cell surface and recognized by CD8⁺ T cells, which specifically bind class I MHC and are activated by these peptides.
