Pāhonoa te oro

The De Brazza’s monkey is considered quite intelligent, although it is not usually ranked among the very smartest primates like chimpanzees or baboons. Its intelligence is more subtle and specialized, especially suited to survival in dense, predator-filled forests. Rather than showing obvious problem-solving tricks, it demonstrates cleverness through caution, awareness, and excellent decision-making in risky situations.
