Okay, Besseggen ridge? Famous. Everyone and their grandma hikes it. Over 60,000 people every summer.
But here's what nobody tells you - on the EAST side of Gjende, there's a trail called Veslfjellet. Same insane turquoise water, same dramatic views, but you'll see maybe 10 people all day.
Why? Because it's not on the DNT's 'top trails' list. It's too steep for casual hikers. Which means... it's perfect.
Difficulty: Hard. Proper hiking boots required.
