Venus is the second closest planet to the Sun, but it is one of the strangest. This is because a day on Venus is longer than a year. It takes approximately 243 Earth days for Venus to complete one full rotation on its axis. But it only takes 225 Earth days for it to complete one orbit around the Sun. So a year passes on Venus, but the planet has not yet completed its rotation. Even more interesting is that Venus rotates in the opposite direction. Unlike most planets, it rotates from west to
