Pāhonoa te oro

In a quiet village… surrounded by dry land and whispering winds… there stood an old well. Not many people used it anymore. The water… was still. Too still. And the elders had warned everyone: “Do not go near the well after sunset.” But like all warnings… someone eventually ignored it. ⸻ His name was Tunde. A strong man… respected in the village… but known for one thing— He did not believe in stories. ⸻ One evening… as the sun dipped below the horizon… Tunde returned late from his farm
