Pāhonoa te oro

I moved into a new apartment last week. Cheap rent… too cheap. The first night, I heard knocking. Not on the door— from inside the closet. I laughed it off… until it knocked back when I tapped. Last night, I opened it. Nothing inside… just darkness. But when I went to bed, I heard it again— This time, from under my bed. And the closet door slowly creaked open… by itself. Now I’m lying here, not moving. Because whatever’s under my bed… just whispered: “
