I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of my phone vibrating on the table. Half asleep, I picked it up… and froze. It was a message from my own number. It said: “Don’t look behind you.” My heart started pounding, but I slowly turned anyway. There was nothing there. I laughed nervously… thinking it was just a glitch. Then my phone buzzed again. Another message from me. “I said don’t look.” And that’s when I felt someone breathing… right behind my neck.
