Step by step… he moved toward the door. The floor creaked beneath him. Everything felt… wrong. He reached for the handle. But before touching it… A voice came from the other side. Soft. Whispering. “David…” He froze. No one should know his name. Not at this hour. Not outside his room. “Open the door…”
