I didn’t move. I couldn’t. My body felt frozen in place. That voice… It sounded exactly like mine. Not similar. Not close. Exact. Same tone. Same pitch. Same way I speak. “Come in.” It said it again. Softer this time. Almost… impatient. I shook my head. Slowly stepping backward. “No.” My voice cracked. Barely audible. For a moment… Nothing happened. Then— The door opened wider. On its own. The darkness inside stretched outward. Like it was reaching for me. And the voic
