What are we really made of?
Are we just physical bodies…

This question goes back to ancient Greece.
Plato believed that the body belongs to the material world…
but the soul comes from a higher, immortal realm.
On the other hand, Aristotle argued that the soul and body cannot be separated…
the soul is simply the life of the body.

a philosopher named René Descartes introduced a powerful new idea.
