How many Viltrumites existed before the Purge? After the Scourge virus, there are only about 50 pure-blooded Viltrumites left in the entire galaxy. But how many of them were there originally? If we take the comics literally, the virus killed 99.9% of the population. If 50 people are the remaining 0.1%, basic math tells us there were only 50,000 Viltrumites before the virus hit. And since they already slaughtered half their race during their civil war, their peak population would only be 100,000.
