I used to assume I didn’t need to explain what I’d done at work.
Early in my career, that belief felt simple and clean. Almost fair.
I assumed my manager would connect the finished work back to me without me saying anything.
So I focused on the work.
I completed projects carefully. Met deadlines consistently. Solved problems without drawing attention to them. If something broke, I stayed late and fixed it.
