Silence filled the carriage, interrupted only by the steady rattle of wheels rolling on rails.
Daniel pulled out his phone, but there was no signal. Being underground, this wasn’t surprising… yet it felt disconcerting.

A whisper.
He raised his eyes.
“Hey” he shouted, his voice echoing slightly.

The woman hadn’t moved.
