One societal factor addressed in Jordan Peele’s Get Out is white liberalism and the white saviour complex in modern day America. An example of this is in the police stop scene where, Rose, a white millennial woman is driving and hits a deer, she is stopped by police who then question her black boyfriend despite him not being the one driving. Chris’s face shows some frustration towards the police officer but also an element of exhaustion; he is tired of being discriminated against and this has ha
