Pāhonoa te oro

This mirrors the Holy Mass: Jesus first preaches the Word, preparing hearts. Then, taking bread, blessing, breaking, and giving it, their eyes open—they recognize Him in the breaking of the bread. The Word readies us for the Eucharist. Why did He vanish? His physical presence gave way to intimate union within them. At every Mass, the Word ignites faith; in the Eucharist, Jesus dwells truly present in our souls—more intimately than standing before us, making our hearts His sanctuary.
