Pāhonoa te oro

I started hearing something under the floor of my room at night. At first, I ignored it. Old house… pipes… there’s always an explanation. But it kept happening. Every night. Right under my bed. --- It wasn’t loud. Just slow movement. Careful. Like something was there… but didn’t want to be noticed. --- Most nights, it would move for a few seconds… then stop.
