Pāhonoa te oro

Long ago, in the early days of the world, the earth was filled with people. God had created the world to be beautiful and good. He made the skies, the land, the seas, the animals, and people. Everything was made with care and purpose. But as time passed, people began to turn away from what was right. Instead of living with kindness, love, and respect, many people became selfish, violent, and cruel. The earth was no longer filled with goodness—it was filled with evil. This deeply saddened God.
