Pāhonoa te oro

“In 1930, a fur trapper named Joe Labelle supposedly arrived at a remote village near Lake Anjikuni in northern Canada. What he found was terrifying — the settlement was empty. Food was still left behind, cooking fires had been abandoned, and even the village dogs were gone or dead. There were no clear signs of a fight, no bodies, and no obvious explanation. Over time, the story grew darker. People began calling it the vanishing village, a place where an entire community disappeared overnight.
