Pāhonoa te oro

My husband hated me, said he’d never touch me again. He threw divorce papers at me and yelled to sign. I signed gladly, tired of his cruelty. He punished me, sending me to the worst room in the house. I went to bed alone, ready for a new start. But I woke up in the room right next to his. And I was tucked safely in his own bed.
