Pāhonoa te oro

Minutes passed… then an hour. Her coffee turned cold, just like the silence he left behind. She picked up her phone, typed a message, then slowly deleted it. She didn’t want to seem like she cared too much… even though she did. People came and went, laughter filled the air, but she felt alone in a place that was once full of hope.
