Aimé Vaschy was a French telegraph engineer and mathematician, born on April 9, 1857, in Thônes (Kingdom of Piedmont-Sardinia, now Haute-Savoie since the annexation of Savoy by France in 1860). He died in Tournon-sur-Rhône (Ardèche) on November 25, 1899, at the age of 42.
