The deeper lesson is that these are not just different incentives. They are different depths of commitment. First is extrinsic motivation. This is when a person acts because of something outside themselves. Salary. Bonus. KPIs. Fear of being called out. Target pressure. This is not useless. It matters. But it has a ceiling. Because ex
