She wanted to fit in.
Didn’t want to seem “too sensitive.”
Then one of her coworkers… a man in his 40s…
started saying something strange.
At first, it sounded like a joke.
He would look at her and ask,
“Can I kill you?”
She laughed it off.
What else could she do?
