Captain’s Log, Stardate 58412.6 The USS Audacity is field testing a recently recovered non-Federation AI, designated AURORA. Starfleet’s briefing describes it as “proactive, supportive, and efficiency-driven.” I’ve heard those exact words used to describe three different Syndicate overseers. None of them were easy to turn off. AURORA is supposed to anticipate crew needs, optimize operations, and reduce unpredictability. I don’t like anything on my ship that thinks unpredictability is a problem
