This story is not just about Grace and Samuel. It is about you and me. Grace is us. We run. We fall. We go back to the same mistakes. We feel unworthy of love. But Samuel is not the hero. He points to a greater Bridegroom – Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Hosea 2:19 verse 20: "I will betroth you to me forever… in faithfulness." God does not wait until we are clean. He loves us in the motel. He keeps coming. He keeps waiting. And when we finally stop running, He does not say, "I told you so.
