Mark was different. He was loud, funny, and full of energy. When we were together, everything felt easy. We laughed a lot. We shared food, stories, and small moments that felt special. We often spent time as a group. Sometimes at my house, sometimes outside. It felt natural. It felt safe. I never worried about anything. I thought, this is what happiness looks like.
