In February of 2026, while on patrol in the Chicago area, trooper riflekit observed a male subject fleeing on foot across Martin Luther King Drive and into the Parkway Gardens residential complex. The subject entered a residential building, ascended to an upper level, and barricaded himself inside a unit.
