He finds her outside the motel, leaning against the wall, smoking a cigarette. Her eyes are red. She has been crying. She tries to laugh it off, but her voice cracks. He tells her he came to bring her home. She says she does not know what home means. He tells her he will show her – one day at a time. She whispers that she does not know how to stay. He whispers back that he will keep coming until she learns.
