He was alone.
A cold feeling crept into his chest.
“Okay… okay…” he whispered. “Don’t panic.”
But panic was already there.
He pushed through some branches and tried again.
“Dad! I’m over here!”
Nothing came back.
The trees looked the same in every direction.
