I met this woman a few weeks ago on Tinder, and even though our lives don’t align due to the distance between us, I feel a strong need to help her because of what she has been through.
She is originally from Ukraine and had to leave her home because of the Russian invasion of the region where she lived. Because of the war, she has lost her family — including her younger brother, who died last year at the age of 27 after spending the last six years of his life at war.
