The horizontal and vertical rulers help you align text,
images, tables, and other elements in your document.
To show or hide the ruler,
go to the View tab,
then check or uncheck the Ruler option.
If you cannot see the vertical ruler,
go to File, then Options,
then select Advanced.
Under the display section,
make sure to check
‘Show vertical ruler in Print Layout view’.
Using the ruler helps you organize your document
